Houses
Our houses are named after four trees, each of which has a connection with our site and its locality:
Holly
The original name of the Thorpe House site was Holly Field.
Pine
Named after our neighbour, Pinebanks, once the home of Norwich Union Sports and Social Club.
Willow
Named after the willow on River Green in the centre of Thorpe St.Andrew.
Beech
Named after Beech Hill, the site of Langley Preparatory School for the last 50 years.
House points are awarded for good work, for polite and courteous behaviour, and for house competitions that take place throughout the school year. Awards are made for the individual competitions, but the overall house points shield is awarded at Academic Prizegiving, and is probably the most highly prized of all the awards given out that day.
